Yilpi Marks [1971-]
Yilpi Marks is one of the talented new breed of emerging desert artists and is well connected in the aboriginal art world. She was taught to paint by her mother and grandmother, and is married to Damian Marks, an artist from Pupunya, whose uncle was the internationally famous Cifford Possum Tjapaltjarri – a great family influence. Yilpi is a quietly spoken artist, but speaks strongly through her amazing paintings that she interprets in several different unique styles. Yilpi is definitely one to watch for the future.
